TENETS OF FAITH FOR JPT MINISTRIES (STATEMENTS OF BELIEF)
1, We believe in The Bible as the inspired word of God, supernatural in origin and the only basis of our faith and fellowship.
2, We believe in the one ever true and living God, infinite in power, holy in nature, attribute and purpose, and possessing absolute, indivisible deity. This one true God-external existent in three persons has revealed himself as God The Father in creation, God The Son in redemption and God The Holy Spirit in revelation of truth.
3, We believe in the Trinity- God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit are one God but made of three(3) persons-hence they are one in trinity-Deu 6:4, Gen 1:16-29, Matt 3:16-17, Matt 18:19, Isa 43:10, Isa 44:6, Eph 4:5-6, 1 Cor 5:4, Rev 4:2 (and in the eternal God head).
4, We believe that the devil exists and that he was responsible for the downfall of man. The 3 deceptive tools used by the devil to sponsor sin, sickness and death unto man are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life (1 John 2:14-16).
5, We believe the fall and the dispossession of the human race was what lead to the reclamation and redemption through the Blood of Jesus Christ.
6, We believe that Salvation is deliverance from sin, It is being saved by grace through faith alone, not as a result of good works but by the redeeming work of Jesus Christ and the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit (Eph 2:8-9, Jn 10:9). Sanctification is set apart from evil (Heb 10:10, Jn 17:17), Justification is an act of declaring righteous i.e becoming holy (Rom 3:10, Rom 3:26) and Righteousness is the quality of being morally right or just (2 Cor 5:21).
7, We believe in Restitution for past wrongs committed where possible.
8, We believe in the doctrines of agape love, faith, mercy, grace, compassion, repentance, holiness within and outside, adoption by our Lord Jesus Christ, giving to the needy, giving i.e tithe and offering, sincere reconciliation & forgiveness of wrong committed & admittance not by cover-up attitudes, oneness in Christ & strongly against tribalism, ethnocentric characters & behaviors, spirit-led or godly prophecy, healing by the Blood and name of Jesus Christ, Laying of hands during prayer, fasting and praying, fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
9, We believe in the Baptism in The Holy Spirit and speaking in the language of heaven called Tongues (Joel 2:28-32, Acts 2:4, Acts 2:38, Acts 10:38, 1 Cor 14:2).
10, We believe in the Church Ordinances such as Water Baptism, Church Family/Child Dedication and Other Items ( 1 Sam 1:20-28), Child Naming Ceremony (Luke 2:21) and the Holy Communion (i.e The Lord’s Supper-1 Cor 11:17-34), etc.
11, We believe in the Church Universal, both visible and invisible.
12, We believe in Evangelism or the propagation of the word of God to the reached and unreached (i.e The Great Commission)-Matt 28:18-20.
13, We believe in the doctrines of Salvation, Deliverance, Healing and Restoration. This is our core practice in the ministry to spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the world (Luke 4:18).
14, We believe in the practise from the heart the showing of high regard and respect to parents and authorities and the rebellion against church authority are forbidden.
15, We believe in Monogamous Marriage in Holy Matrimony ( i.e marriage of a Godly man to a Godly woman-Gen 2:24, 1 Tim 3:2). Pregnancy before marriage is not approved and will not be performed by the church- 1 Cor 6:15-18.
16, We believe in Church Discipline (1 Tim 5:20, 1 Cor 5:1-13, 2 Cor 2:6-11, Heb 12:5-12).
17, We believe in the Rapture of the Saint of God.
18, We believe in the Marriage Supper of the Lamb
19, We believe in the Second Advent(Second Coming) of our Lord Jesus Christ.
20, We believe in the Great Tribulation.
21, We believe in the Millennial reign of Christ (Christ 1000 years reign)
22, We believe in the Fire or Final Judgment.
23, We believe in the New Heaven and Earth.
