ABOUT THE PASTOR
Pastor Victor Emediong’s mandate for Ministry to preach the word and deliver those who are oppressed began since the 19th day of July 2004 as instructed by Our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the early hours of the same day, after his usual midnight prayers, He had a direct encounter with the Lord saying to him with these words in Luke 4:32 and Amos 3:3 to begin his work and that he should preach in the popular Lagos State(Nigeria) Public Transportation System called ‘’Molue’’. The Lord told him to read Luke 4:32 during the vision where he was assured from that moment that his mouth and the words of his mouth is engulfed with the Power of God. He felt very frightened to go out to preach in these public commuters’ buses. He rejected it but the voice of God kept echoing, speaking and persuading him.
After his first and second attempts in these buses to preach the word, He tried to say a word but hurriedly got out of the moving buses for fear of the people, lacking courage and not knowing what to preach(Amos 3:3). The Lord came in again to encourage him that he had anointed his mouth and the words from his mouth with power. He joined the third bus and to the glory of the name of our great Lord God Almighty, God spoke his word out through his mouth. He was very amazed to witness the raw Power of God as nearly everyone in the bus gave their lives to God. The driver cautioned the bus conductor that this man is ‘’Alufa’’ meaning he is a true man of God and that he must not take bus fare from him and that if he had paid already he should refund it back to him. Everyone in the bus were thanking him when he got down at Agboju bus stop near Festac town. He is still surprised till this day how that happened.
In summary, he had several divine visitations in which God told him to begin a bible college. He was not even aware that such college existed, to his shock he found the college and attended.
Before the completion of his courses, the Lord visited him with the assignment to preach his word abroad emphasizing Canada. This got him to enquire from people how one can make it to abroad. He was told to enter in for the America Visa Lottery Program which he did and within months he arrived with his family to the United States of America. As they arrived the States he put an end to the furtherance of God’s commission in his life. He got admitted into the University of District of Columbia in Washington D.C to become a LPN/RN Nurse.
The Lord was not pleased with his decisions and forced him out of the program to finish up his pastoral calling in Nigeria where he became a Pastor.
To God be the glory, after nine years in bible college, the Lord led him to establish the “JESUS POWER TABERNACLE” (JPT MINISTRIES) on 2nd day of April 2018, the ministry began with 6 adults and 4 children. May Glory and Honor be unto God forevermore in the name of Jesus.
Pastor Victor Emediong is the Senior Pastor of Jesus Power Tabernacle Ministries Worldwide (JPT Ministries Worldwide) headquartered in Laurel, Maryland, United States of America. He is married to his amiable, loving wife-Sis Caroline Emediong and they are blessed with four wonderful children.
